Loyalty Parents,

We hope the holidays treated you well! With winter in full force, we wanted to reach out and make sure everyone was up to date on all things Loyalty along with promote a few programs that are available. Just a reminder with winter activities picking up to please make sure you are following our nutrition program to the best of your ability; this is a huge piece of your athlete’s development & recovery.

Development Education:

·       Speed training begins to detrain after 3-8 days of neglect. A large break in training before the season is a recipe for a slower athlete. This is why in-season training is the most important time to be participating in a performance program.

·       How long should your athlete be training to see noticeable results? NCSA recommends 6-8 months depending on your athlete’s ability and prior experience training.

·       How many times a week should your athlete train while in-season? Two training sessions per week along with structured nutrition is recommended to maintain off-season gains and decrease the likelihood of injuries. Off-season athletes should be training 3-4x per week to see large, statistical results.

High school athletes with aspirations of playing college athletics: please understand the importance of your physical development with the most recent changes in NCAA recruiting rules and the transfer portal. Coaches are emphasizing transfers more than ever based on athletes physically being able to contribute immediately to a program. Going forward you will likely see high school recruitment being much different than it was just a few years ago. Being physically capable of performing and having the ability to hit certain KPI’s (key performance indicators) are a huge emphasis for recruitment.

A REMINDER TO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ATHLETE IS EATING BREAKFAST BEFORE MORNING SESSIONS. WE SUPPLY WATER AT THE FACILITY BUT DO ASK THAT ATHLETES BRING THEIR OWN WATER BOTTLES.

We are offering a 20% discount on all memberships at our millard location through the end of january
